LONG-TERM THINKING OF CHIRAKARI RESCUED GAUTAMA FROM A GREAT SIN

Sage Gautama orders his son Chirakari to kill his mother and Chirakari takes his decision after thinking for a long time

After Yudhisthira was crowned as King of Hastinapur, Lord Krishna freed remarkable Bhishma from all of his sufferings before his death and asked him to alleviate Yudhisthira from mourning over the dead Kshatriyas by the way of advising him on Dharma. Yudhishthira asked his preferred guru, that if there is ever the sort of task, which must be an obligation expected by way of the gurus, but due to being merciless, it appears to be tough and unreasonable, then how should that work be analyzed on such an event and whether to do it or keep thinking on it for a long time. In response, Bhishma said about the ancient history, which had already been passed on to Chirakari of the Angirasa dynasty. Allow us to understand it in brief.

Maharishi Gautama had a learned son namedchirkari. He used to work late after thinking about all his duties. He used to think for a long time on all subjects, used ta stay awake for a long time and slept for a long time and finished the work only after a long postpone. That's why everyone began calling him ‘Chirkari’. Those who couldn't think far gave such retarded person the title of lazy. He was called ill-knowledgeable.

One day, Gautama got indignant at some adultery committed by his spouse, without saying to his other sons, asked Chirakari to kill his sinful mother. Without any thought, giving such a command, the best of brahmarshi Gautama went to the woodland. Chirakari as usual late in step with his nature said 'All right'. He was always there, kept thinking about that thing for a long time. He thought that by what means should he work so that his father's order is also obeyed and his mother did not have to be killed. How could he dare to drown in this sin like any other unwise man?

‘Chirakari started out thinking like this, To obey the father is the ultimate dharma and to protect the mother is the main dharma of the son. The son is by no means free, he's constantly under the management of his parents, so he did not desire to be afflicted by the loss of religion. Which son can be happy at any time by killing one's female cast, and in particular his mother? Who can get prestige even through disobeying his father?

The father himself transcends himself within the womb of a woman to protect his modesty, virtue, clan and gotra and is born in the form of a son. Therefore, both parents gave him birth as a son. He considered each of them to be the cause of his origin. The blessings given by way of the father during the time of Jatkarma Sanskara and Upanayana Sanskara are sufficient and strong evidence to determine the pride of the father. The father is the main guru of the son due to his sustenance and education. He's the embodiment of the supreme Dharma. Regardless of the father's commands, it ought to be well-known as religion. The same faith has been fixed in the Vedas. The son is the whole love of the father and the father is the son's all. Only the father gives the son the body and all the things worth giving. Therefore the orders of the father need to be obeyed. One needs to by no means reflect on consideration for it. One who obeys his father, his enemies also perish.

The father is the Lord in the son's amusement (clothing and many others.), food (meals and so on.), discourse (Veda-study), the education of the entire world's behaviour and the performance of all of the rites of conception, punsavana and simtonnayana and so on. Therefore, the father is the heaven and the greatest penance. While the father is pleased, all of the deities are pleased.

If the father says some harsh things to the son, he accepts it as a blessing, and if the father greets, the son shows love and respect towards him by means of speaking sweet phrases, then all the sins of the son emerge as atonement. No matter how much the father is in hassle, he never leaves his son who's brought up with love, that is, the son can in no way be separated from the father. How proud the father ought to be of the son. After thinking, it became clear to Chirakari that a father is no small shelter for his son.’

‘Then he began considering his mother like this, This five material human body which he obtained for himself, his mother is the principal factor in its birth. As the principal basis for the manifestation of fire is Arani-wood, the mother is the Arani who manifests the hearth of the human body. She is the mother who gives happiness and consolation to all the living beings of the world. As long as the mother lives, a person considers himself a saint, and in her absence, he turns into an orphan.

Having a mother, a son never worries, old age does not draw him toward it. The one who goes to the residence crying, although he is poor when goes to his mother, he feels as if he has reached Devi Annapurna.

The one who lives in the shelter of his mother even after being blessed with sons and grandsons, after a hundred years of age, she behaves like a two-year-old baby with her son. Whether the son is incapable or weak or strong, the mother follows him. Nobody else can contend with a son except the mother. Whilst there is separation from the mother, at the equal time man starts thinking of himself as an old guy, becomes unhappy and for him, the whole globe seems to be abandoned.

There's no other shadow just like the mother, that is, the happiness that is there below the umbrella of the mother is nowhere. As a mother, there is no other support and protector.

Dhatri due to holding her baby in the uterus, Amba due to giving birth to him and Angavardhana for nurturing and Veerasu because of giving birth to a heroic infant. She assumes the name Shushru after taking care of the little one. That person whose mind has not been thoughtless, any such conscious man can never kill his mother.

During mating among husband and wife with an intention to have a son, even though the choice possessed by both father and mother, in truth this is established inside the mother simplest. The mother contains the child in her womb, so she has more affection and love for him. Father on his child is dominant. Whilst men themselves go to foreign girls and intimate with them even after taking a vow in their spouse's marriage, then women can not be blamed for this. A person is known as a husband because of the maintenance and upbringing of his woman. Without these traits, he is neither a recruiter nor a husband. There's no crime against the woman, only the man commits the crime. Simplest a man commits the great sin of adultery, that's why he's the wrongdoer. For a lady, the husband is the most respected, he is considered to be her finest deity.’

‘He moreover thought that his mother had surrendered to a man who was like his father in body and dress. On such occasions women do not commit crimes, only the guy is guilty. Women are compelled to commit crimes due to the fact they're helpless, so they are no longer criminals by being subjected. Men who stimulate a lady's desire to be satisfied with sexual pleasure without even getting a reaction from the lady certainly reap unrighteousness. There's no doubt about it. Being a lady and his mother, she was revered by his son. The importance of the mother is greater than that of the father. Even ignorant animals consider women and mothers to be oblivious then how should he kill her even though he was a sensible guy?

The smart men realize that the father is a group of all the deities situated in a single area. But due to her affection inside the mother, the community of all human beings and deities remains situated.’

Due to the character of delay, Chirakari kept on questioning like this. Too much time was spent on this thinking.

Just then his father returned from the forest. At that point, the exceptional scholar Gautama became more grieved considering the impropriety of killing his wife. He kept on somehow holding himself under the influence of Veda's studies and patience, shedding tears from sorrow, and repenting, remembered  Indra, the lord of Tribhuvan, coming to his ashram taking the form of a brahmin and whom he had earlier consoled  with sweet words welcomed and duly worshipped him by means of offering Arghya Padya and so forth.

Then in a well-mannered he said to Lord Indra in his mind like this, “Lord! I'm below you. I hoped that the guest god would like me after being happy with this behaviour of mine; however, an unhappy incident took place due to his desire. There is no offence against my woman on this. Therefore neither the female is the offender, nor me, nor Indra, the king of the gods, disguised as a wandering brahmin, is the culprit. The pleasure of wife-slaughter that i've caused on the subject of religion is the basis of this crime. Urdhvareta Muni defined the attainment of jealousy is due to that pleasure only. Jealousy has thrown me into the ocean of sin and i've drowned in it. Whom I had given safe haven in my residence as a spouse, the only one who turned into a sati-sadvi lady and was entitled to get preservation from me due to being the husband, she is now killed due to that pleasure. Now, who will keep me from this sin? But I had ordered the sensible Chirakari to kill his mother. If by way of delaying this work, he might have justified his name, then he can keep me from the sin of killing a female.”

Sage then thought about his son and said like this, “Son! Bless you! Good luck to you If even today you have followed your nature of working late, then only your ‘Chirakari’ name may be successful. Through delaying today, you protect me, your mother and the austerity that I have earned. Additionally, protect yourself from the evildoers. Being extremely sensible, may it be successful at the moment.

Your mother had been awaiting your delivery since time immemorial. She has conceived you for a long time. Today, by means of protecting your mother, you make it a success. My son does not give up the nature of delaying the work even after accomplishing any pain or suffering. Even after refusing, he keeps sleeping for a long term. After seeing the everlasting affliction of his parents, he must become eternal.”

Accordingly saddened, Maharishi Gautama, upon coming home, saw his son Chirakari standing nearby. Chirakari was very unhappy to see his father there. Throwing his weapon, bowing his head at their feet, he tried to please him. Seeing the son bowing down at his feet, Gautama had a thought that possibly out of fear, he was hiding his agility to take up arms. Gautama saw his son was lying on the earth and his wife was standing still in disgrace. He was very satisfied to see this. After praising his son for a long time, kissed his forehead, hugged him for a long time, kept him near his heart and blessed him. Gautama, full of love and pleasure, greeted the son and said that “Son Chirakari! May you stay long. So long as this nature of yours remains, I will never be unhappy for the long term.” From then, Gautama, who lived inside that ashram in a lonely forest, in no way separated his spouse and son Chirakari from him.

(while Maharishi Gautama went out for his necessary work, chanting, meditation and so on., his son Chirakari, even though standing with a weapon in his hand, nonetheless kept thinking something with courtesy to protect his mom. That's why the order which was received to kill the mother could not be fulfilled.)

After the incident, the scholar Gautama sang a few hymns related to the qualities which can be there in the patient guys who work after thinking for a long time, which is as follows-

‘After thinking for a long time, one ought to make a friendship with someone and the one who has grown to be a friend should not be left out. If there is a need to leave, then consider its consequences for a long time. A friend who's made after thinking for a long time, his friendship can last for all time. Anger, conceitedness, pride, treason, sinful conduct and one's displeasure, he who delays doing so is praised. The one who thinks for a long time, without haste, in agreeing on something about the hidden crimes of brothers, friends, servants and women, is to be praised.’ after staying for a long time in that ashram in the end sage Gautama went to heaven along with his son.

(in this manner, after considering all the works, someone who reaches a certain decision after a long term does no longer need to repent for a long period. Whoever continues the anger suppressed within himself for a long time and for a long time withholds the action done in anger, by him no action is made which is to cause repentance. Serve elders and worship them by being with them for the long term.

Live in the service of virtuous men in the company of scholars and keep your mind under control for the long term. Due to this is respected always. If someone asks a query to the person who is preaching, he should answer it after thinking for a long term. By means of doing this, he does not have to repent for a long time. Therefore, we ought to think for the long term about the impact of our choice on ourselves and others earlier than operating on it as it leads to immediate potential outcomes. This is just an example of the benefits of thinking for a long time and avoiding the further consequences.)
